I think I speak for many people when I say I’m so ready for this cold snap — or Ice Age, as Ryan calls it — to be over!
This unusually cold weather has made me so glad I bought a faux fur jacket, and I strongly encourage everyone to add one to their own wardrobe. I have literally been wearing mine non-stop since my trip to Oregon (which, by the way, was 0 degrees Monday morning, OMG) because I love how functional and warm it is. I’ve gotten many compliments on it, from more men than women, oddly enough!
Though these 35-45 degree days have been pretty miserable, it was also the perfect time to finally wear the cutest thing I own: a penguin sweater that I got back in July. July, can you believe it? Not sure what possessed Forever 21 to sell this print during summer, but I guess they know what they’re doing since it sold out pretty fast.
I surprised myself when I really liked this quirky piece. However, I didn’t want to look like a teenager while wearing it, so I edged it up and made it more me by accessorizing with leather fingerless gloves.
With my bad-ass gloves paired with my cutesy sweater, I continued contrasting by mixing hard and soft jewelry textures.
You guys probably didn’t notice, but I switched up my blogging schedule a little this week. I went to a Rocksbox/Zappos holiday party last night, so I’m going to tell you guys about it on Friday! :)
